the bahntu name
Our founder, Promise Bahntu decided to change his family name from "Dixon" to "Bahntu" after the Heavenly Father spoke to him and said, "Change Your Name, Change Your Destiny!"
He heard the Heavenly Father speak the name "Bantu," and after further research Promise discovered "Bantu" was an artificial name for the original name "Abantu," the Xhosa and Zulu word for People.
After Promise completed a DNA test from Ancestry, the results revealed he is a descendant of the Bantu family of tribes in Africa.
It is believed, when the Romans conquered Israel, many Israelites migrated into Africa and were sold into slavery during the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. Many Israelites were scattered throughout the entire world!
The Bantu family of tribes were one of the groups in Africa affected by the slave trade. They are believed to be descendants of the True Nation of Israel. Meaning, they are descendants of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob; making them the True People of Israel - hence the word, "Abantu" - The People.
On December 10, 2019, Promise legally changed his family name from "Dixon" to "Bahntu."
He decided to include the letter - H - for originality and that the name is correctly pronounced "bon-tu" instead of "ban-tu."
